The team is led by Dr. Rodrigo Vilches and Dr. Beatriz Perez.
Our Treatments
Epidural Stimulation
Epidural stimulation treatment is a breakthrough procedure for spinal cord injury patients, which allows them to regain motor, sensory, and autonomic functions below their injury level, including stepping and voluntary movement. The surgery is suitable for both quadriplegics and paraplegics with complete or incomplete injuries, between the C4-T10 levels.

Cellular Treatments
Our cellular therapies are designed to heal and regenerate tissues damaged by injury or conditions. We treat patients by injecting both Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) and Exosomes, a type of cell that is involved in intercellular communication. These injections are useful in the treatment of a range of conditions including:
- Ataxia
- Brain Injuries
- Cerebral Palsy
- Chronic Kidney Disease
- Liver Cirrhosis
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Muscular Dystrophy
- Spinal Cord Injury
- Stroke
- Motor Neurons Disease
Musculoskeletal Treatments
As well as stem cells, we also offer PRP, prolotherapy, and hyaluronic acid treatment. PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma, which is derived from the patient’s own blood. The blood is extracted from the body, and then spun in a centrifuge to remove red cells and concentrate the platelets. They are then reinjected to increase the number of platelets and promote healing. Prolotherapy involves injecting a solution into damaged tissues which promotes a healing process, similar to the body’s natural healing process. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the body, which is injected into the patient’s joints, adding to the natural supply.
We use these injections to treat musculoskeletal conditions, including:
- Osteoarthritis in areas such as the knees, hips and resulting from meniscus injury
- Tendinopathies in areas such as the rotator cuff, achilles, elbow, and knee as well as Plantar Fasciopathy
- Muscle injuries
Neuro-Rehabilitation and Regular Rehabilitation
We offer physical and occupational rehabilitation, either as a stand-alone treatment or as a follow-up and complement to another treatment. Our team is made up of neuro-specialists with years of combined experience in neurorehabilitation and physical therapy. We focus on helping patients to improve function and reduce symptoms, through strength training and practice. We are also invested in improving patient’s well-being, independence, quality of life, and sense of hope.

He began work in the field in 2006, after undergoing rotations in neurological rehabilitation and Electromyography, as well as a rotation in antispastics and pain. He is certified by the Mexican Council of Rehabilitation Medicine and is an active member of the Mexican Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Spinal Injury Association (ASIA). He has continued to build his skills through training in musculoskeletal interventionism with the American Association of Orthopedic Medicine (AAOM) and has been trained by the Prolotherapy Institute, where he now also instructs.
Dr. Beatriz Perez
Following her graduation from the University Autonoma of Guadalajara, Dr Beatriz initially specialised in rehabilitation medicine, completing a speciality at the National Rehabilitation Institute. She later further specialized in Neuro-rehabilitation. She completed rotations in spinal cord injury in Houston, Texas and is certified by the Mexican Council of Rehabilitation Medicine. As well as working with Verita Neuro, where she is chiefly responsible for rehabilitation, she is the Head of Rehabilitation at ‘Hospital Regional de Guadalajara Dr. Valentín Gómez Farías’. She is a member of both the American Spinal Injury Association and the Western Rehabilitation Society and has been involved in several research papers, working on autonomic functions in spinal cord injury patients, nerve conduction and electromyography.
